I'm a Christmas whale 10:08 AM

We had our traditional Christmas family gathering at Ee’s this year. Short of a food explosion and lingering symptoms such as prolonged indigestion, this was our festive menu:
- Turkey with Chestnut stuffing and Cranberry/ Butter sauce
- Spaghetti Bolognaise
- Large Supreme Pizza
- Large Hawaiian Pizza
- Potato and Egg Salad in Mayonnaise and Sour Cream
- Broccoli and Carrots
- Rich Brownie with heavy Frosting
- Apple Strudel
- Durian Strudel (which I ran away from)
- Soft Drinks (which I avoided for gassy reasons)
- Earl Grey tea
- Cherries
- Kiwis
- Oranges
- Strawberries
- Pineapple tarts
- Cookies
- Sweets
- Chocolates
- Sparkling juice (non-alcoholic, because of the kids)

Yes, all of the above were consumed in a matter of a few hours. My family can really eat, I know. That explains our fat genes. I did a rough calculation and the average number I took in was about 5,400 calories, disregarding all the food I had during the day which included sinfully rich cheesecake from Hilton Hotel.

If I were to summate the number of calories I’ve consumed in the past week alone, I’m not surprised that it would hit 50000.

A serious diet and detox regime is beckoning… but not until 2009. There are so many more parties/ feasts/gatherings/ weddings/ catching up lunches and dinners to go!

I feel like a whale.
