Will July be Juicy? 1:50 PM

My resolution is to keep a healthy diet in July (or at least try to).

It's my 5th day on super strong iron tablets and I'm not sure if its of any help to me yet. Physically, I don't feel any difference and still suffer from my chronic migraine and abdominal cramps almost daily. Last Monday the 23rd June 2008, I went to the doctor's during lunch hour expecting to get some regular painkillers and Mortillum pills after a ill and bedridden weekend. Luckily, my granny was around to make sure I didn’t die in my bed. Apparently, doctor Chong thought I looked really bad and insisted I do a blood test for thyroid or any other potential viral infection. The procedure was simple but unexpectedly painful. It was my first time having two test tubes full of blood drawn out from me. Normally, I would have been flatly rejected at any blood donation drive, but this was necessary. Doctor Chong had to repeat the process because my veins were too small and he was so amused that I had such difficulty filling up the meagre volume of blood required to be sent for lab tests. Both my arms were swollen for days.

Two days later, the clinic called me regarding the test results. I tried to brush the whole issue aside, requesting the nurse to tell me the results over the phone. However, the doctor insisted to see me as my readings were apparently out of the normal range. This started to get me a lil worried, and I had better be good. My blood levels readings, according to the doctor, was 'significantly out of the range'. I have very low red blood cell count, and as a counter-reaction, my platelets are too many. This is because my blood is trying to clot itself to prevent further loss of my rare and precious haemoglobin. Coupled with low blood pressure, I'm officially anaemic, and am prone to headaches and fainting easily. So nobody is allowed to agitate me from now on okay. Lalala~

So to complete the story, doctor Chong prescribed me with heavy dosage iron tablets for a month. And after that I'll have to redo the blood test. If readings are still out of the healthy range then I'll need to go for an ultrascan to determine where I'm losing my haemoglobin to. I'm gonna be diligent and consistent about this, and I have faith that God has healed me and I'll be well.

Will July be juicy? Yes it will. I'm going cable skiing next weekend and will not succumb to lethargy and illness. Maybe this has happened to serve as a wake up call for me. No more procrastination. I'm gonna be full of life and springing back to action in no time.
