It's been a month! I've survived Lehman's for a month and it's cause to celebrate for me. Yay!
This weekend was a movie gala for me. I watched Sex and the City with the girls, in true SATC fashion. We really really liked the show! I'm soooo envious of Carrie's penthouse, wardrobe and Manolo Blahniks! But then again... SATC's like a fairy tale for modern grown-up city-dwelling women like us... It's a lifestyle that doesn't exist. Sigh. Then G & I hung out at our regular joint for some 2nd anniversary drinks. How time flies... but we're grateful for all we've been through...
The second show I watched was The Holiday. G came over with some DVDs in the afternoon so we hung out in my room and bitched about the chick flick and made comparisons to our own love lives. That's what girlfriends are for.
Last night, I had dinner at this Italian restaurant called La Forketta on Dempsey Hill. It was quite nice and pleasant. After that, we went to watch Prince Caspian, the second movie adaptation from the series of books by C.W. Lewis. I thought the first one was better, but I enjoyed it anyway. I suppose the moral of the story is to trust your faith even when others don't. When you do, great things may happen. And like what Aslan the lion said... Things never happen the same way twice...
I bought a bottle of DOM for my mum today. I thought she needed a little surprise to cheer her up. She's so tired taking care of AP lately, it's been so hard on her...
And... just a couple of minutes ago, Wendy gave birth to a darling little boy called Emmanuel. I was so surprised but relieved to receive her sms. At 3.09kg, I'm sure this little bundle of joy would enrich and bless Wendy & Peter's life richly. I knew that little baby since he was a tiny 2.5cm huge in Wendy's belly. Can't wait to go see them!
June will be a better month. I sure hope it is!
