I've actually managed to brew a few insights during my trip to Perth recently:
1. Family ties are the strongest. Nothing beats spending time with your loved ones.
2. Money is not the most important. I lost A$300 due to my own carelessness, and though its a pity, its really no big deal compared to so many more valuable things around me.
3. Smile, even if the world doesn't smile back at you. It really makes you feel better from the inside.
4. Count your blessings. You'll realise that there's so much you have once you stop complaining.
On the flight back to Singapore, I managed to catch a view of a rainbow from the sky. Then I found out that a rainbow is actually a spectrum of dispersed light forming a ring around the earth, instead of an arch we see at ground level. From where God is in the heavens, the rainbow He gave to Noah thousands of years ago actually signifies a covenant with mankind, symbolised by the continuous unbroken ring. It's truly breathtaking.
I stand in awe of the magnificence of God.
