Back from Bangkok rested and refreshed, I could only wish that my getaway lasted longer.

We did some pretty cool stuff like riding on an elephant (which was totally unplanned and spontaneously adventurous), the massive mammal had a rough unpleasant odour and almost scared my wits out when it waded into a dirty smelly black pool - twice. I had to hold on for my dear life lest I fall into the stagnant water with pieces of elephant faeces floating in it. Grossssssssssssssssssssssssss.

The weather was scorching. Chartuchak market was like a pressure cooker steaming all my moisture out. I didn't buy a lot of stuff though.

Oh yeah, and there was the tiger show. I was so disturbed. Details withheld.

So I guess that was my mid-year break. Looking forward to the next one already. Meanwhile its back to hard work and earning my own keep.
