The eve of the eve of Chinese New Year 4:40 PM

This would be the 2nd year that my family celebrates CNY without my grandpa. And all of us miss him so much. We just got his tombstone erected shortly following his 1st death anniversary last December and truthfully, none of us have really gotten used to any kinda festivities without my grandpa around.

Its a feeling of melachony with a bitter-sweet aftertaste that lingers every time a family gathering comes about. I'd have fond memories of the times we shared and remember all the food my grandpa loved to eat, the phrases he always said, the advice he lovingly gave. Then my thoughts would drift to when he fell sick, was hospitalised, frail, weak, yet firmly grasping my hand trying very hard to tell me that he loves me and is proud of me.

I miss my grandpa dearly. But I know I'll be re-united with him again one day, in Heaven. So meanwhile, I'll do my best in all that I can, in ever loving memory of him.
