I had my first Lo-Hei of the year at Crystal Jade palace today with Head of Trade Finance, Head of Loan Admin, Syndications and HR. Yummy! Here was our lunch menu:
Salmon Lo-Hei
Sea cucumber, fish maw and scallop dumpling in soup
Har gao
Siew Mai
Char siew pau
Fish belly congee
Century egg congee
Deep fried tofu skin roll
Pan fried carrot cake
Red bean paste with lotus seeds dessert
Chrysanthemum Tea
Tonight, I’m meeting R and Y for dinner and drinks. The past 2 nights, I had starchy fatty fried carbohydrate rich supper. I almost finished a whole jar of oily sweet fried honeycomb cookies, in addition to other sinful cookies, tidbits, sweets and delicacies. Not to mention my mum being very experimental in whipping up new dishes while she’s around this week contributing to my prolonged engorged condition.
I don’t wanna be Miss Ah Pui, but I’m heading right down that path!!!!!! I already feel my rapidly burgeoning tummy.
Not pretty, cannot go beach holiday, cannot wear nice bikini
Hefty price to pay… yet there is still so much food I still want to eat!
Gingko nut sweet soup
Deep fried spicy prawn rolls
Sweet barbecued pork
Nian Gao
Love Letters
Pineapple tarts
Etc etc etc to satisfy my evil untamed demanding insatiable taste buds.
Here I am again on the ever standing dilemma between food and figure, sharing an inverse relationship.
